Passion (J. C. Schütz Album)
''Passion'' is the first album by Swedish singer and songwriter Johan Christher Schütz, originally released in 2004 in Sweden and Japan. In 2009, ''Passion'' was released again, this time worldwide and including two bonus tracks, previously only available on the Japanese edition. The album was recorded between 2003 and 2004, with Schütz as composer of all tracks, arranger and producer. The album uses a colourful instrumentation with accordion, vibraphone, strings and flute, on top of the guitar/piano/bass/drums arrangements. The bonus tracks were recorded in 2007. Johan Christher Schütz
Johan Christher Schütz is a Swedish songwriter and music producer. He has also released music as a solo performer. Life and career Early years Born and raised outside the small town of Mjölby, Östergötland, he started singing and playing musical instruments, such as drums and electric organ, very early. Aged seven, he found a guitar in a dumpster, an experience that he says changed his life, as he decided to dedicate his life to music. Despite this, he entered the Kungshögaskolan College in Mjölby with the intention to study art, but the restrictive curriculum made him return to music. During a period in 1999 he lived in London after receiving a songwriting grant from Swedish royalty collection society STIM. He studied Portuguese at Stockholm University, and in 2015 he moved back to the UK. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Bossa Nova
Bossa nova () is a style of samba developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is mainly characterized by a "different beat" that altered the harmonies with the introduction of unconventional chords and an innovative syncopation of traditional samba from a single rhythmic division. The "bossa nova beat" is characteristic of a samba style and not of an autonomous genre. According to the Brazilian journalist Ruy Castro, the bossa beat – which was created by the drummer Milton Banana – was "an extreme simplification of the beat of the samba school", as if all instruments had been removed and only the tamborim had been preserved. ''Blissa Nova'' is the second album by Swedish singer and songwriter Johan Christher Schütz, released in 2007. The title "Blissa Nova" is a play on the word ''bliss'' and the music style bossa nova. Recorded between 2005 and 2007, Blissa Nova is arranged and produced by Schütz. Takarazuka Revue
The is a Japanese all-female musical theatre troupe based in Takarazuka, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Women play all roles in lavish, Broadway-style productions of Western-style musicals and stories adapted from films, novels, manga, and Japanese folktales. The Takarazuka Revue Company is a division of the Hankyu Railway company; all members of the troupe are employed by Hankyu. History The Takarazuka Revue was founded by Ichizō Kobayashi, an industrialist-turned-politician and president of Hankyu Railways, in Takarazuka, Japan in 1913. The city was the terminus of a Hankyu line from Osaka and already a popular tourist destination because of its hot springs. Kobayashi believed that it was the ideal spot to open an attraction of some kind that would boost train ticket sales and draw more business to Takarazuka.
