Jesus Jones
Jesus Jones are a British alternative rock band from Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, formed in late 1988, who continue to record and perform, as of 2021. Their track " Right Here, Right Now" was an international hit, and was subsequently globally licensed for promotional and advertising campaigns. The single was also nominated for a Grammy award at the 34th Annual Grammy Awards in 1991, as was its album, ''Doubt''. They also achieved chart success with the songs " Real Real Real", " International Bright Young Thing" and "Info Freako". PledgeMusic was an online direct-to-fan music platform, launched in August 2009. It was started to facilitate musicians looking to pre-sell, market, and distribute projects; such as recordings and concerts. It bore similarities to other artist payment platforms as ArtistShare, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Patreon, RocketHub and Sellaband. The company announced it was facing bankruptcy in May 2019, after a year of artists reporting slow payment problems. The company was granted permission to wind up on August 19, 2019. Though considered by some to be an album due only to its length, it is an EP, since only the first four tracks are meant to be heard as fully produced songs. Al Doughty (born Alan Jaworski, 31 January 1966, Plymouth, Devon, England) is an English musician and bassist. He is primarily known for being a member since 1988 of the alternative rock band Jesus Jones, in which he continues to be active, as of 2021. Career Originally the bassist for the London based rock band Jesus Jones, Doughty later became the bassist for Jon Langford's band Skull Orchard, the Waco Brothers, and Dean Schlabowske's band Dollar Store. Of his unorthodox bass style, Doughty said, "It's all nervous energy. I really have no idea where I'm going next with something. I don't know anything about theory.
