Pasir Ris Public Library is a public library in Pasir Ris, Singapore, located inside White Sands. It is near Pasir Ris MRT station and Pasir Ris Bus Interchange. It is the first shopping mall library to feature a special teens’ mezzanine, a dedicated space for teens to hang out, both for reading and leisure. Pasir Ris Group Representation Constituency
Pasir Ris Group Representation Constituency was a four member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) that locates in the eastern part of Singapore at Pasir Ris. It had only existed once in 1997 general election. This GRC was created from the wards of Pasir Ris and parts of Tampines North from the defunct Eunos Group Representation Constituency In 2001 General Election, this GRC had absorbed 3 wards in Punggol areas, while 3 of the existing 4 member wards in Pasir Ris was consolidated into 2 wards. With such enlargement, this GRC was renamed into Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC and expands to a 5 members GRC. Since then, it has again further expanded to 6 members GRC on 2006 General Election which the arrangement existed until 2020. Teo Chee Hean ( zh, s=张志贤, poj=Tiuⁿ Chì-hiân, p=Zhāng Zhìxián; born 27 December 1954) is a Singaporean politician and former two-star rear-admiral who has been serving as Senior Minister of Singapore since 2019 and Coordinating Minister for National Security since 2015. Pasir Ris Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located at Pasir Ris in the eastern part of Singapore. It is located off Pasir Ris Drive 3, adjacent to Pasir Ris MRT station and near White Sands Shopping Centre. This bus interchange also serves as a pick-up/drop-off point for shuttle buses ferrying NSF men heading to the SAF Ferry Terminal for their shuttle ferry to Pulau Tekong. History The interchange was built at a cost of S$2.7 million and opened on 10 December 1989, along with the Eunos Bus Interchange. The interchange provides bus connections around the Pasir Ris estate. Pasir Ris MRT Station
Pasir Ris MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line (EWL) in Pasir Ris, Singapore. Situated along Pasir Ris Central adjacent to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange and the White Sands Shopping Mall, it is the eastern terminus of the EWL and, as of June 2021, the only MRT station within Pasir Ris. The station exterior has the characteristic dome-shaped segmented roof also seen on other elevated EWL stations. The station opened on 16 December 1989 as the terminus of the MRT's eastern line extension. In 2016, two maintenance workers were killed on the tracks away from the station. In January 2019, it was announced that the station would become an interchange, with the opening of the Cross Island line (CRL) by 2030.
