Paser Regency
Paser Regency is a Regency (''kabupaten'') within East Kalimantan province in Indonesia, it is the southernmost regency of the East Kalimantan province. Its administrative centre is Tana Paser (or Tanah Grogot). It covers an area of 11,603.94 km2, and it had a population of 230,316 at the 2010 Census and 275,452 at the 2020 Census. Before 2007, this regency was formerly named Pasir Regency ( id, Kabupaten Pasir). East Kalimantan
East Kalimantan (Indonesian: ) is a province of Indonesia. Its territory comprises the eastern portion of Borneo. It had a population of about 3.03 million at the 2010 census (within the current boundary), 3.42 million at the 2015 census, and 3.766 million at the 2020 census. It previously covered a much greater area, with a population of 165,091 at the 2010 Census, but in December 2012 the five northernmost districts were split off to form a new Mahakam Ulu Regency; the residual area of 20,384.6 km2 had a population of 140,097 at the 2010 Census, and 165,938 at the 2020 Census. Balangan Regency is one of the regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. It was created on 25 February 2003 from what were previously the eastern districts of North Hulu Sungai Regency. Kota Baru Regency
Kotabaru Regency is one of the eleven regencies in the Indonesian province of South Kalimantan. It consists of two parts; the smaller but more populated part comprises Laut Island , the largest island off the coast of Kalimantan, together with the smaller Sebuku Island off Laut Island's east coast and even smaller islands nearby; the larger but less populated part consists of districts on the mainland of Kalimantan. Makassar Strait
Makassar Strait is a strait between the islands of Borneo and Sulawesi in Indonesia. To the north it joins the Celebes Sea, while to the south it meets the Java Sea. To the northeast, it forms the Sangkulirang Bay south of the Mangkalihat Peninsula. The strait is an important regional shipping route in Southeast Asia. Penajam North Paser Regency is a regency in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan. Its administrative centre is the town of Penajam. The area which now forms Penajam North Paser was part of Paser Regency until its separation in the year 2002. Tanah Grogot is a kecamatan and the capital of Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. It shares a border with Kuaro in the north, Pasir Belengkong in the south. In the year 2020, its total population is 76,344. On December 29, 1959, Tanah Grogot was inaugurated as the capital of Paser Regency by the law No. 27 of 1959.
