Pascale Petit (poet)
Pascale Petit (born 20 December 1953), is a French-born British poet of French, Welsh and Indian heritage. She was born in Paris and grew up in France and Wales. She trained as a sculptor at the Royal College of Art and was a visual artist for the first part of her life. She has travelled widely, particularly in the Peruvian and Venezuelan Amazon and India. Petit has published eight poetry collections, four of which were shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize. Her seventh collection ''Mama Amazonica'' won the RSL Ondaatje Prize in 2018 and the inaugural Laurel Prize for Poetry in 2020. In 2018, Petit was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Pascale Ferran (; born 17 April 1960) is a French film director and screenwriter. In 2007, her film ''Lady Chatterley'' won five César Awards including Best Film, Best Cinematography and Best Adaptation. Her 2014 film '' Bird People'' was selected to compete in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. Pascale Cossart (born 21 March 1948) is a French bacteriologist who is affiliated with the Pasteur Institute of Paris. She is the foremost authority on ''Listeria monocytogenes'', a deadly and common food-borne pathogen responsible for encephalitis, meningitis, bacteremia, gastroenteritis, and other diseases. Biography Cossart earned a B.S. and M.S. from Lille University in 1968. She is particularly known for exploiting very dense microtonal scales such as 1/12 tone or 1/16 and beyond for the particular perception properties they imply.
