Pascal Schürpf
Pascal Schürpf (born 15 July 1989) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or striker for FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League. Career Born in Basel, Schürpf started his football in the youth system at BSC Old Boys before joining the youth system of FC Basel in 1999. He started his senior football in Basel's under-21 squad and scored 32 goals in 42 appearances. On 29 May 2008, he signed his first professional contract with the club. This has since been renewed and his new contract is valid to June 2014. During the 2008/09 season, Schürpf was loaned out to FCB's city neighbours, FC Concordia Basel, where he played fourteen games and scored five goals. In the 2009–10 Swiss Super League season he returned to FCB and played his Swiss Super League debut on 14 February 2010 as substitute in the 3–1 away win against Neuchâtel Xamax. Swissporarena
Swissporarena is a multi-use stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland, completed in 2011. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of FC Luzern of the Swiss Super League. The stadium has a capacity of 16,800 spectators, including an away fans' section fitted with 390 rail seats for safe standing. It replaced the demolished Stadion Allmend. The stadium was due to open earlier in the year but several problems during construction changed the plans. In February 2011 the club announced the new season ticket prices for their return home. The 2013–14 Swiss Challenge League (known for sponsorship reasons as the Brack.ch Challenge League) was the 11th season of the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier in the Swiss football pyramid. It began on 13 July 2013 and ended on 18 May 2014. Teams 2012–13 Challenge League champions Aarau were promoted to the 2013–14 Super League. Due to financial irregularities, Bellinzona was ultimately relegated at the end of the season and later dissolved. Locarno was spared from relegation. The Uhrencup is a club football tournament, held annually in Grenchen and Biel in Switzerland. The Uhrencup is seen as a testament to the major influence that is exercised by the local industry on the cultural lives of the areas residents. The tournament usually features four teams (sometimes more), each playing two matches, and is held in July as a friendly tournament, the format of which tends to be fluid. For the teams taking part, the tournament is a welcome opportunity to prepare for the upcoming football season.
