Pascal Ickx
Pascal Ickx (born March 30, 1937, in Lubbeek) is a Belgian former racing driver that competed on circuits for Grand Touring sports cars in the 1960s. He is the son of the gentleman-driver and journalist Jacques Ickx, and the older brother of Jacky Ickx. Racing career Pascal Ickx's first appearance in racing came in the late 1950s where he made an appearance in the Liège–Rome–Liège, 1959 Liège-Rome-Liège driving a Saab Automobile, Saab. The following year in 1960, he would appear in the Liège-Rome-Liège again driving a BMW 700. That same year, he would drive in the 12 Hours of Huy finishing 32nd. He also made several appearances in World Rally Cars, most notably the ADAC Rallye Tour d'Europe in 1963 driving a Fiat 2300. Lubbeek () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Binkom, Linden, Lubbeek proper and Pellenberg. On January 1, 2006, Lubbeek had a total population of 13,660. The total area is 46.13 km² which gives a population density of 296 inhabitants per km². Fiat 2300
The Fiat 2300 is a Straight-six engine, six-cylinder executive car which was produced by Italy, Italian automotive manufacturer Fiat between 1961 and 1968. The 2300 was made as Sedan (car), saloon (styled by Dante Giacosa), Station wagon, estate car and coupé. The 2300 saloon is noteworthy as in 1966 it became the first Fiat model to be available with an automatic transmission. 2300 Coupé Alongside saloon and estate models the 2300 range included Ghia-designed grand tourers, the Fiat 2300 Coupé and 2300S Coupé—the latter fitted with a more powerful engine with double twin-choke carburettors, tuned by Abarth.
