Pascal Devoyon
Pascal Devoyon (born 6 April 1953) is a French classical pianist. Biography Born in Paris, Devoyon began his studies with Blanche Bascourret de Gueraldi then with Lélia Gousseau at the Conservatoire de Paris where he won first prize in 1971. Then he became famous for his successes at international competitions: the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (in 1974, second place), the Leeds International Piano Competition (in 1975, tied with Andras Schiff for third place), finally the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (in 1978, second prize). Favourite in the final of this competition, the jury awarded him only the second place behind Mikhail Pletnev. The following year he began an international career and gave several concerts in Europe, the United States and the USSR. Louis Schwizgebel (born 19 November 1987) is a Swiss pianist. He studied piano with Franz Josefovski and Brigitte Meyer at the Lausanne Conservatory, Pascal Devoyon at Universität der Künste Berlin, Emanuel Ax and Robert McDonald at the Juilliard School, and Pascal Nemirovski at the Royal Academy of Music. Caroline Fischer (born 4 April 1984) is a German pianist. She has given concerts around the world and has received several awards and prizes. Musical education Caroline Fischer received her first piano lessons from her mother at the age of three. At the age of nine, she enrolled in the Julius Stern Institute at the Berlin University of the Arts. Mélodie Zhao (; born September 7, 1994) is a classical pianist. She was born in Bulle, Switzerland. Biography Mélodie Zhao began studying the piano at age two. She studied first at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, with Jiaquan Chen until age nine. In 2004, she entered the Geneva Conservatory under the instruction of Mayumi Balet-Kameda and at 13 began working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in music with Pascal Devoyon at the Geneva University of Music.
