Pascal Ackermann
Pascal Ackermann (born 17 January 1994) is a German cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Kandel, Ackermann joined the team in 2013, and spent four seasons with the team. In August 2016 announced that Ackermann would join them for the 2017 season. In May 2019, he was named in the startlist for the Giro d'Italia, where he won the second and fifth stages, and became the first German rider to win the points classification in the Giro d'Italia. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the Vuelta a España, where he won the ninth and eighteenth stages. After five seasons with , Ackermann signed a two-year contract with from the 2022 season. 2018 Deutschland Tour
The 2018 Deutschland Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 23 and 26 August 2018. After a 10 year break, the Deutschland Tour held its 33rd edition and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour. Brussels Cycling Classic
The Brussels Cycling Classic (known until June 2013 as Paris–Brussels) is a semi classic European bicycle race, one of the oldest races on the international calendar. History Paris–Brussels was first run on 12 August 1893 as an amateur event over a distance of 397 km, Belgian Andre Henry took the inaugural victory from compatriot Charles Delbecque with France's Fernand Augenault coming in third. The race did not return to the racing calendar until 1906 when it was run as a two-day event on 3 and 4 June. The first stage of this 1906 event was run from the Paris suburb of Villiers-sur-Marne to Reims over 152 km and was won by France's Maurice Bardonneau. UEC European Track Championships (under-23 & Junior)
The European Track Cycling Championships (under-23 & junior) are a set of competition events held annually for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling, exclusively for European cyclists under the ages of 23 and 18, and regulated by the European Cycling Union (UEC). They were first held in their current format in 2010, when a competition for elite level cyclists was devised and held for the first time following an overhaul of European track cycling. Prior to 2010, similar age group championships were held for many years under the title of European Track Championships, a title now used solely for the elite championships. The Under 23 and Junior championships thereafter were run as an annual separate event under their current name. In line with cycling tradition, winners of an event at the championships are presented with, in addition to the gold medal, a special, identifiable jersey. Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles. History Track cycling has been around since at least 1870. When track cycling was in its infancy, it was held on velodromes similar to the ones used today. These velodromes consisted of two straights and slightly banked turns, though they varied more in length and material than the modern 250m track. It was held on 22 March 2019, starting and finishing in the titular towns of Bredene and Koksijde, respectively.
