Pascack Valley is the name for a region of Bergen County, New Jersey in the United States. It is named for the Pascack Brook, which defines the valley. The Pascack Valley is the name for a region of New Jersey, United States, contained within Bergen County. It is named for the Pascack Brook. Pascack Valley Hospital
Pascack Valley Hospital (PVH) is a former 291-bed hospital, located at 250 Old Hook Road, Westwood, New Jersey. History Pascack Valley Hospital opened on June 1, 1959, as an 86-bed community hospital. It underwent several expansions and grew to 291 beds. In 2005, the PVH completed construction on a new four-story addition to the hospital. This caused the hospital to incur an additional $80 million in debt. This, combined with several years of operating losses, forced Well Care Group, the owner of the hospital, to seek a buyer. In November 2006, Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) entered into a memorandum of understanding with PVH to acquire the hospital, with plans to keep the facility operating as a full acute-care hospital. Ultimately, Pascack's agreement with HUMC fell through, and on September 24, 2007, the hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, with plans to liquidate the hospital's assets. Pascack Valley Line
The Pascack Valley Line is a commuter rail line operated by the Hoboken Division of New Jersey Transit, in the United States. The line runs north from Hoboken Terminal, through Hudson County and Bergen County in New Jersey, and into Rockland County in New York, terminating at Spring Valley. Service within New York State is operated under contract with Metro-North Railroad. The line is named for the Pascack Valley region that it passes through in northern Bergen County. The line parallels the Pascack Brook for some distance. The line is colored purple on system maps, and its symbol is a pine tree. The Pascack Valley Regional High School District is a regional public high school district encompassing students from four communities in the Pascack Valley region of Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from Hillsdale, Montvale, River Vale and Woodcliff Lake. Pascack Hills High School (PHHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school, one of two secondary schools serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as part of the Pascack Valley Regional High School District in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. PHHS serves the residents of both Montvale, where the campus is located, and the neighboring community of Woodcliff Lake. The other high school in the district is Pascack Valley High School, which serves the communities of Hillsdale and River Vale. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 827 students and 71.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1. There were 3 students (0.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 3 (0.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
