Pasand Apni Apni
''Pasand Apni Apni'' is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Ashok Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Rati Agnihotri, Utpal Dutt. The concept of this movie is based on the 1951 British film ''Happy Go Lovely'', which was earlier used in the 1969 movie ''Sajan'' and subsequently in '' Ghajini''. Plot An insane misunderstanding that leads to love. Here, an almost-out-of-work actress - Geeta - accepts a ride from the chauffeur of wealthy industrialist Sandeep Anand. She is seen descending from Sandeep's limo and assumed to be his fiancé, all unbeknownst to herself. Basu Chatterjee ( bn, বাসু চ্যাটার্জ্জী; 10 January 1927 – 4 June 2020) was an Indian film director and screenwriter. Through the 1970s and 1980s, Chatterjee became associated with what came to be known as middle cinema or middle-of-the-road cinema filmmakers, such as Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Bhattacharya, whom he assisted on ''Teesri Kasam'' (1966). Atul Agnihotri (born 8 July 1970) is an Indian actor, producer and director. He started his Bollywood career as an actor, went on to direct two films, and found success as a film producer. He is best known for his debut film ''Sir'' (1993), which was the most notable film of his career and featured him as the lead protagonist. Suresh Ishwar Wadkar (born 7 August 1955) is an Indian playback singer. He performs in both Hindi and Marathi films. Shailendra Singh is an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang several Hindi and a few Marathi songs during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was very close to Mehmood Ali. Yogesh Gaur, or Gaud commonly credited as Yogesh, (March 19, 1943 – May 29, 2020), was an Indian writer and lyricist. He was known for his contributions to Bollywood, and possibly his best known works came from the film '' Anand'', songs including ''Kahin Door Jab Din Dal Jaaye'' and ''Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli'' (1971), and also ''Rajnigandha phool tumhare'' from the movie ''Rajnigandha'' (1974).
