The Pasadena Unified School District is a unified school district that is responsible for the schools of Pasadena, California. , it has four high schools, five middle schools, three K–8 schools and 15 K–5 elementary schools. The number of elementary schools was reduced from 18 at the end of the 2010–11 school year. The district also serves the city of Sierra Madre and the unincorporated community of Altadena. PUSD is run by a board of education, whose members serve four-year terms. Beltway 8 (BW8), the Sam Houston Parkway, along with the Sam Houston Tollway, is an beltway around the city of Houston, Texas, United States, lying entirely within Harris County. South Houston High School
South Houston High School is a public high school located in South Houston, Texas in the United States. The school is a part of the Pasadena Independent School District. History South Houston High School opened in 1957 to relieve Pasadena High School and graduated its first class in 1959. At that time the city of South Houston had a population of approximately 7500 citizens. During the school's early years, the mayor of South Houston was George Christy, who was the owner of a circus. Pasadena Memorial High School (PMHS) is a secondary school located in Pasadena, Texas. The school serves grades 9 through 12 and is the second largest school in the Pasadena Independent School District.
