Jens Okking
Jens Dyhr Okking, (18 December 1939 – 21 January 2018) was a Danish actor, singer and politician. Jens Okking was mostly known outside of Denmark from Lars von Triers TV-series '' The Kingdom''. In Denmark, Okking was a notable actor for many years, both in theatre, films and TV series and he also worked as theatre director. Apart from his acting, Okking performed as a singer throughout his career, including many recordings with a variety of musicians, mainly from Denmark. He also used his voice to record several audiobooks, mostly for children, and in radio plays for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR). Jens Okking was a member of the European Parliament in 1999–2003, initially elected for the June Movement, but he later changed affiliation to the People's Movement against the EU. Sven-Ole Thorsen (born 24 September 1944) is a Danish actor, stuntman, bodybuilder and strongman competitor. Thorsen won Denmark's Strongest Man in 1983. Using his stature he often plays imposing giants and villains in his films who are somehow beaten by smaller opponents in a David and Goliath manner, but he has also played heroic characters such as Gunnar the legendary warrior in ''The Viking Sagas''. Ghita Nørby (born 11 January 1935) is a Danish actress with 117 film credits to her name from 1956 to 2005, making her one of the most active Danish actresses ever. Early life Nørby was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of opera singer Einar Nørby (1896–1983). She studied two years at the Danish Royal Theatre (''Det Kongelige Teater''). Vera Margrethe Gebuhr (15 May 1916 – 22 December 2014) was a Danish film, television and stage actress. Gebuhr was most noted for her portrayal of the snobbish neurotic head saleswoman Miss Jørgensen in the popular television series ''Matador (Danish TV series), Matador''. She trained at the Royal Danish Theatre school from 1937 to 1939 and debuted at the Folketeatret, Copenhagen, Folketeatret, working there until 1964. She played her first lead film role as the scheming maid in the 1943 melodrama ''Møllen''. Gebuhr appeared in 65 films between 1937 and 2005, as well as made numerous appearances on Danish television series. Gebuhr married twice: to journalist Pallet Fønss and civil engineer Thomas Purl. In 1999, she received the Preben Neergaard honorary award. She died in her home at the age of 98 on 22 December 2014. Poul David Reichhardt (2 February 1913 – 31 October 1985) was a Danish actor, well known for his roles in Danish 1940s/1950s comedies. Later on, he also played more serious and varied roles; he has also starred in '' Huset på Christianshavn'', ''Matador'' and as various minor characters in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. For almost thirty years Reichhardt was a leading Danish heroic charmer in movies and partly also on stage. Karl Stegger (11 January 1913, in Aarhus – 13 April 1980, in Frederiksberg) was a Danish actor, who appeared in 157 films which makes him the second-most used Danish film actor after Ove Sprogøe.
