Party for the Netherlands ( nl, Partij voor Nederland) (PVN) is a Dutch right-wing Fortuynist political party founded in August 2006 by Hilbrand Nawijn, a member of the Dutch House of Representatives. The party was considered one of several splinter groups from the Pim Fortuyn List (LPF) party aiming to become the successor of the LPF. Its list for the 2006 election contained former LPF members such as Gerard van As, Paul Meijer Paul Ronald Johan Meijer (born 27 March 1985 in Utrecht) is a Dutch racing driver. Willem van der Velden (22 April 1942 - 27 October 2013) was a Dutch politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2002 to 2003. Van der Velden was chairman of the Dutch motorists' organization ''Pro Auto.'' From 2002 to 2003, he was a member of the House of Representatives on behalf of the Pim Fortuyn List. Paul Meijer (25 October 1967) is a Dutch politician who was the leader and chairman of the regional ''Forza!'' Netherlands party. Since 2021 he has been a member of '' Belang van Nederland''. In November 2022, the court of North Holland ordered Paul Meijer to repay more than €32,691.95 to his former party ''Forza!''. Gerard Pieter van As (born 12 November 1944, in Gouda) is a Dutch politician. From 2002 to 2006 he was a member of Pim Fortuyn List (LPF) in the Dutch House of Representatives. He also served as parliamentary chairman of the LPF from 2004 to 2006. Career Van As studied law at the University of Leiden. He then worked in property law and as a real estate broker. From the 1970s to the early 1990s, he served on the municipal council of Alphen aan den Rijn for the VVD. From 1982 to 1993, he was an alderman of Alphen aan den Rijn.
