Party Of Greens (Hungary)
The Party of Greens ( hu, Zöldek Pártja; ZÖP), or simply Greens, was a green political party in Hungary, founded in January 2006. History The Party of Greens was established in Szeghalom on 22 January 2006 by some rural branches of the Alliance of Green Democrats (ZDSZ) under the leadership of entrepreneur László Ács, who quit ZDSZ just before the 2006 parliamentary election. In the following weeks, other ZDSZ organizations joined the new party. ZÖP adopted its program from the ZDSZ, in which demanded the rationalization of energy management and development of agricultural techniques protecting the environment. ZÖP had 11 individual candidates and 3 county regional lists in the 2006 parliamentary election, where received 2,870 votes (0.05%). By contrast, György Droppa's ZDSZ gained only 95 votes. Alliance Of Green Democrats
The Alliance of Green Democrats ( hu, Zöld Demokraták Szövetsége; ZDSZ), was a green political party in Hungary between 2000 and 2009. History It was established by the merger of Green Alternative (ZA), Social Democracy 2000 Foundation (SD2000) and the Social Democrat Youth Movement (SZIM) on 3 June 2000. György Droppa (ZA) and István Podkoniczky (SD2000) were elected co-presidents, several leaving members of the Hungarian Social Democratic Party (MSZDP) had joined the newly established organization. In autumn 2001, the entrepreneur faction of the party led by Károly Garabits were entirely expelled from the party by a court decision after internal party conflicts. 2010 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 11 and 25 April 2010 to elect the members of the National Assembly. They were the sixth free elections since the end of the communist era. 386 Members of Parliament (MPs) were elected in a combined system of party lists and electoral constituencies. Electoral law in Hungary requires candidates to gather 500 signatures from citizens supporting their candidacy. In the first round of the elections, the conservative party Fidesz won the absolute majority of seats, enough to form a government on its own. 2022 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 3 April 2022 to elect the National Assembly, coinciding with a referendum. Hungary's incumbent prime minister Viktor Orbán declared victory on Sunday night, with partial results showing his Fidesz party leading the vote by a wide margin. The Hungarian Workers' Party ( hu, Magyar Munkáspárt) is a communist party in Hungary led by Gyula Thürmer. Established after the fall of the communist Hungarian People's Republic, the party has yet to win a seat in the Hungarian parliament. Bertalan Farkas (born August 2, 1949) is the first Hungarian cosmonaut, space explorer and fighter pilot. Hungary became the seventh nation to be represented in space by him. Farkas is also the first Esperantist cosmonaut. He is currently the president of Airlines Service and Trade. The 2014 Hungarian parliamentary election took place on 6 April 2014. This parliamentary election was the 7th since the 1990 first multi-party election. The result was a victory for the Fidesz–KDNP alliance, preserving its two-thirds majority, with Viktor Orbán remaining Prime Minister. Green politics, or ecopolitics, is a political ideology that aims to foster an ecologically sustainable society often, but not always, rooted in environmentalism, nonviolence, social justice and grassroots democracy.
