Party Of Al-Badil Al-Hadari
The Party of the Civilizational Alternative ( ar, حزب البديل الحضاري ''Hizb al-Badil al-Hadari''; french: Parti de l'alternative civilisationnelle) is an Islamo-democratic political party in Morocco. In the 2007 parliamentary elections, the party did not win any seats. The party was supposedly banned in early 2008 (a few months after the 2007 elections), but as no written records exist proving it was banned, according to Moroccan law, the party is technically "frozen" rather than banned. Islamic Socialism
Islamic socialism is a political philosophy that incorporates Islamic principles into socialism. As a term, it was coined by various Muslim leaders to describe a more spiritual form of socialism. Islamic socialists believe that the teachings of the Quran and Muhammad—especially the zakat—are not only compatible with principles of socialism, but also very supportive of them. They draw inspiration from the early Medinan welfare state established by Muhammad. Muslim socialists found their roots in anti-imperialism. This can especially be seen in the writings of Salama Moussa, who wrote extensively both about socialism, and about Egyptian nationalism against British rule. Abdelilah Benkirane
Abdelilah Benkirane ( ar, عبد الإله بنكيران, born 2 April 1954) is a Moroccan politician who was Prime Minister of Morocco from November 2011 to March 2017. After having won a plurality of seats in the 2011 parliamentary election, his party, the moderate Islamist Justice and Development Party formed a coalition with three parties that had been part of previous governments. Political career During the 1970s, Benkirane was a leftist and Islamist political activist. He has represented Salé in the Moroccan parliament since 14 November 1997.
