''Partly Cloudy with Sunny Spells'' ( it, Tempo instabile con probabili schiarite) is a 2015 comedy film written and directed by Marco Pontecorvo and starring Luca Zingaretti, Pasquale Petrolo, Carolina Crescentini and John Turturro. Plot On the border between Emilia-Romagna and the Marche, a business that produces sofas faces bankruptcy. The founders are two friends: Ermanno and Giacomo. Ermanno has a wife, Elena, and a son, Tito, 17, who lives immersed in the world of Japanese comics. Giacomo lives with his son Gabriele, an 18-year-old baseball fan. One night, Ermanno and Giacomo, digging a hole in the yard, discover something surprising: oil coming from the subsoil. This extraordinary event will create contradictions and conflicts, showing the worst side of the protagonists. Marco Pontecorvo (born November 8, 1966, Rome) is an Italian cinematographer and film director. Marco Pontecorvo was initially interested in black and white photography, but eventually became a filmmaker like his father Gillo. He debuted as director of photography on ''In sailing in the wrong direction'' (1997). Some of his best known works are ''Rome'', ''The Last Legion'', ''Letters to Juliet'' and ''Game of Thrones''. Roberto Tiraboschi is an Italian writer, playwright and screenwriter. He was born in Bergamo, Lombardy, in 1958. Currently he splits his time between Rome and Venice. Life In 1976 Tiraboschi graduated in Letters at the University of Milan and as actor and assistant director at the academy of “ Piccolo Teatro” in Milan. Luca Zingaretti (; born 11 November 1961) is an Italian actor and film director, known for playing Salvo Montalbano in the '' Inspector Montalbano'' mystery series based on the character and novels created by Andrea Camilleri. Pasquale Petrolo (Rome, 27 August 1962) and Claudio Gregori (Rome, 17 November 1963), best known as Lillo & Greg, are an Italian comedy duo who work on stage, film, television, radio as well as musicians, authors and cartoonists. She is a graduate of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, and star of the box office hit movie Parlami d'amore, directed by Silvio Muccino. John Michael Turturro (; born February 28, 1957) is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his contributions to the independent film movement. He has appeared in over sixty feature films and has worked frequently with the Coen brothers, Adam Sandler, and Spike Lee.
