Partizán Bardejov is a Slovakia, Slovak association football, football football team, team, based in the town of Bardejov. The club was founded in 1922. The club currently plays in the Slovak Second Football League, 2. liga, the second tier of the Slovak football league system, hosting games at the 3,040-capacity Mestský štadión Bardejov. History The first club in Bardejov was founded on 12 February 1922 as BSC Bardejov. His first president was Július Grofčík. On 18 June 1922, BSC Bardejov played its first game at their own stadium against 1. FC Tatran Prešov, ETVE Prešov. BSC Bardejov lost 1 – 4. Mikuláš Chavko was the first player from Bardejov, who started in the highest football level in Czechoslovakia. He played for I.ČsŠK Bratislava. Ján Chavko played for Italian side Palermo since 1947. The Slovak Super Liga is the top level football league in Slovakia, currently known as the Fortuna Liga due to a sponsorship arrangement. Marián Ľalík
Marián Ľalík (born 7 February 1972) is a Slovak retired football midfielder who played professionally in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus. Playing career Club career Ľalík began his playing career in Slovakia. He moved to Sparta Prague, but would only play in one Gambrinus liga match for the club. He returned to Slovakia where he enjoyed success with AŠK Inter Bratislava, scoring nine goals and winning the Slovak Superliga and Slovak Cup double during the 1999–00 season. Ľalík moved abroad again when he signed a one-year contract with Greek Super League club Panionios F.C. in January 2002.
