Beatrice Emma Parsons
Beatrice Emma Parsons (1870–1955) was a British painter and is best known for her watercolours of garden subjects. Parsons, along with George Samuel Elgood and Ernest Arthur Rowe, is considered one of the leading English painters of gardens. Personal life Parsons was born in Peckham, South London, England in 1870. She was sister to Karl Parsons, a stained-glass artist, who commemorated their family in a stained-glass window in St. Matthew's Church, Oxhey. Parsons attended the Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls and studied at King's College London, before attending the Royal Academy Schools, where she won three prizes. She lived in Hampstead after 1901, until she moved to Oxhey in 1907, where she had a studio until her death on 17 February 1955. During her time in Oxhey, she lived with her three sisters. Nancy Anne Parsons (January 17, 1942 – January 5, 2001) was an American actress. Early years Parsons grew up in Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota and was a member of the Class of 1960 at Minnetonka High School. Career Parsons resumed acting in 1974 after taking 10 years off to raise a family with two children. Andrew John Parsons (born 30 November 1966) is an English comedian and writer. He regularly appeared on ''Mock the Week'' from Series 3 to Series 14. With comedy partner Henry Naylor, he has written and presented nine series of ''Parsons and Naylor's Pull-Out Sections'' for BBC Radio 2. Early life Parsons was born in Weymouth, Dorset. Agnes Parsons (born Jenny Parsons) was an American screenwriter active during Hollywood's silent era. She also taught and wrote about writing after she stopped writing for the silver screen. Biography Agnes was born in Burlington, Iowa, to William Parsons and Grace Priddy. She moved to Oregon as a young woman before moving to Los Angeles. By 1917, she was working as a scenario writer for Cecil B. deMille's studio, although she wasn't credited on her earliest scripts. Her first known credit was on 1920's ''The Crucifix of Destiny''. Peter John Parsons, (24 September 1936 – 16 November 2022) was a British classicist and academic specialising in papyrology. He was Regius Professor of Greek at the University of Oxford from 1989 to 2003. Early life and education Parsons was born on 24 September 1936 in Surbiton, Surrey, England, to Robert John Parsons and Ethel Ada (née Frary). He was educated at Raynes Park County Grammar School, an all-boys grammar school in Wimbledon, London. He sat the Oxford entrance examination in December 1953, and his success meant he was the first in his family to attend university.
