Parnells GAA
Parnells GAA or Parnells Gaelic Athletic Association club Gaelic football club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Coolock, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1893, named after the recently deceased Charles Stewart Parnell, and at that time was known as Parnell Volunteers. Parnells have won the Dublin senior football championship on six occasions, in 1913, 1916, 1939, 1945 and most recently in 1987, 1988. Coming of Age Within ten years of the club's foundation Parnell's had become well established in Dublin GAA circles. Indeed, as well as competing in local competitions, the club was now competing and contributing players to Dublin as well. Coolock () is a large suburban area, centred on a village, on Dublin city's Northside (Dublin), Northside in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Darren Rooney
Darren Rooney is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler from County Laois. His dual status makes him most unusual in the modern GAA. He currently plays for the Parnells club in Dublin. He usually plays at right half back or full back art senior level for the Laois county team and in 2003 was part of the Laois team that won the Leinster Senior Football Championship title for the first time since 1946. Rooney was a member of the Laois minor team that retained the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship in 1997. Lindsay Peat is an Ireland women's rugby union international. Peat represented Ireland at the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup. Peat is an all-round sportswoman. Niamh McEvoy is a former senior Dublin county ladies' football team, Dublin ladies' footballer. She was a member of the Dublin team that won the 2010 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final. She was one of two players named Niamh McEvoy who played for Dublin in the 2010 final. The player sharing her name, Niamh McEvoy (St. Sylvester's Gaelic footballer), Niamh McEvoy of St. Sylvester's, replaced her when she came on as a second-half substitute. Brian Talty
Brian Talty (born 12 May 1955) is a former Gaelic footballer who played at senior level for the Galway county team. Talty was born in Tuam, County Galway, where he played Gaelic football with Tuam Stars. While training as a PE teacher at Thomond College in Limerick, he won an All-Ireland Club Football Championship as a star midfielder in a team that featured the Spillane brothers, Mick and Pat. With Galway Talty won a National Football League medal in 1981. He played for Galway against Dublin in the 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, although injury forced his substitution in the second half of that game. Dublin won the final, despite finishing with twelve players. Galway finished with fourteen players. Talty won two Dublin Senior Football Championship with Parnells in 1987 and 1988.
