Amy Parmenter (born 1 August 1997) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for Giants Netball. Parmenter was elevated to the Giants senior ahead of the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season, 2019 season, having been a training partner with Canberra Giants in the Australian Netball League for the previous two years. Before her time in the ANL, Parmenter represented Netball New South Wales and Australia at under 17/19 levels. Parmenter had an outstanding debut season at the Giants, recording the most intercepts of any midcourter in the competition and ending the year by being awarded the NNL Young Star Award, Rising Star award. Hulkbusters is the name of three fictional organizations appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. All three groups exist within Marvel's shared universe known as the Marvel Universe and are so-named for their attempts to battle the Hulk. Fictional history The U.S. military's Hulkbusters The original Hulkbusters were a large joint task force consisting of both U.S. Army and Air Force personnel, whose primary purpose was to capture or if necessary, destroy the Hulk. Christine Whiting Parmenter (December 21, 1877 – March 1953) was an American author. Biography Christine Whiting was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, on December 21, 1877, the daughter of Frederic A. Whiting and Catherine Tracy Allen. She was a former resident of Framingham Center, Massachusetts, and moved to Colorado in 1917. She married Dr. Kenneth R. Parmenter, M.D. (d. 1939), and they had one daughter, Catherine, who married Henry C. Newell. They lived at 1208 Cheyenne Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. She returned to New England in 1938. She was an author, a writer of fiction for most of the leading magazines. She was a member of the Authors Guild, Authors' League of America. She died in March 1953 and is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Her papers are preserved at the Denver Public Library. Dennis W. Parmenter (December 27, 1950 – December 12, 2020) was an American politician and lawyer. Parmenter was born in Elkhart, Iowa to parents Paul Parmenter and Kathryn, née Ault. After his mother died, his father remarried, to Sandra Sorenson. Dennis Parmenter attended North Polk High School, Iowa State University, and the Drake University School of Law. He married Kathy Houge in October 1970, with whom he had three children. Parmenter was an Assistant Story County Attorney, and in 1979, established his legal practice in Huxley. Parmenter previously served as mayor of Huxley. A Democrat, he was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001 (62nd district). Ian Richard Parmenter OAM is an English-born (b.1945) Australian media professional and author with a half-century experience in newspapers, magazines, television and radio. He presented 450 five-minute programs of the cookery show ''Consuming Passions'' on the Australian ABC television network. The program was also broadcast in 19 other countries. Parmenter was a journalist in Fleet Street, London, before moving to Australia in 1971. He joined the ABC in Perth and qualified as a TV producer in 1974. Michael Earl Parmenter (born 1954) is a New Zealand choreographer, teacher and dancer of contemporary dance. Career Parmenter studied dance in the 1980s in New York and was influenced by both New York-based choreographer Erick Hawkins and Japanese Butoh master Min Tanaka. He has a master's degree in creative and performance dance from the University of Auckland. He formed the dance company ''Commotion'' in 1990 with notable works including the dance opera ''Jerusalem''. Recent work includes dance opera ''OrphEus'' which premiered at the 2018 Auckland Arts Festival. He wrote several books on Mexico and was a news editor and staff writer at ''The New York Times'' for 30 years. Steven James Parmenter is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Bristol Rovers. Parmenter played schoolboy football with Cambridge United and Ipswich Town before spending two years in the Southend United youth system. He was signed by Queens Park Rangers in 1995 and won a Football Combination league title with their reserve team, but never made an appearance for the first eleven. He signed for Bristol Rovers in the summer of 1996 and made his senior debut as a substitute against Stockport County on 31 August, in a game which also marked Rovers' first match back in Bristol after ten years of playing their home matches in Bath.
