''Parlez-Vous English?'' is the seventh album by psychedelic rock group, The Edgar Broughton Band, or "The Broughtons" as they are credited on this release. The album was created after serious legal action, which occurred during the release of their previous album ''Bandages''; this resulted with the band splitting up for four years before finally reuniting under a different moniker, "The Broughtons". The album was originally released as ''Infinity INS 3027'' in 1979, and saw the band on new label, Infinity Records and with a more punk/rock sound, as opposed to their other psychedelic rock releases. The album was remastered in 2006. Parley
A parley (from french: link=no, parler – "to speak") refers to a discussion or conference, especially one designed to end an argument or hostilities between two groups of people. The term can be used in both past and present tense; in present tense the term is referred to as parleying. In some cases, opposing parties would signal their intent to invoke parley by using a white flag, however the use of a white flag to invoke or request parley is not considered mandatory. The term ''parley'' has been used to refer to numerous high-profile meetings of the 20th century, including the London and Paris Conferences held in 1954 to determine the status of West Germany. Mademoiselle From Armentières
"Mademoiselle from Armentières" is an English song that was particularly popular during World War I. It is also known by its ersatz French hook line, 'Inky Pinky Parlez Vous,' or the American variant 'Hinky Dinky Parlez-vous' (variant: ''Parlay voo''). 'Inky Pinky' was a Scottish children's name for parsnip and potato cakes, but it has been suggested that an onomatopoeic reference to the sound of bed springs is a more likely soldier's ribald derivation. Origins "Mademoiselle from Armentières" has roots in a tradition of older popular songs; its immediate predecessor seems to be the song "Skiboo" (or "Snapoo"), which was also popular among British soldiers of World War 1. Earlier still, the tune of the song is thought to have been popular in the French Army in the 1830s; at this time the words told of the encounter of an inn-keeper's daughter, named Mademoiselle de Bar le Duc, with two German officers. Stanley Bergerman (August 27, 1903 – July 13, 1998) was an American producer of horror films in the 1930s. Biography Bergerman was born on August 27, 1903 to a Jewish family in Pueblo, Colorado and raised in San Diego, California. As a young adult, he worked for The May Department Stores Company in Los Angeles as a merchandise manager. After he married Rosabelle Laemmle in 1929, the daughter of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle, he entered the film industry and started producing films focusing on horror films and sports documentaries. He later worked as a talent manager and a commercial real estate investor. During World War II, Bergerman helped to establish the Refugee Resettlement Committee which assisted Jews fleeing Nazi Germany to immigrate to the United States. Irving Ampofo Adjei (born 6 October 1994), known professionally as Headie One (formerly Headz), is a British rapper and singer. In 2018 he released his second solo mixtape, titled ‘''The One’'', which included the single "Know Better" featuring rapper RV, it became an "underground hit". Headie One is a member of the UK drill group OFB and is considered to be a pioneer innovator of the UK drill scene.
