Parker Gispert
Parker Gispert (born May 24, 1982) is the lead singer of The Whigs. He is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a 2001 graduate of The Westminster Schools, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in philosophy. Parker's first solo album ''Sunlight Tonight'' was released in November 2018. The Whigs (2001-present) The Whigs were formed in 2002 by Parker Gispert, Julian Dorio, and Hank Sullivant in Athens, Georgia. The band toured the world consistently from 2005-2015 as headliners and as openers for the likes of Kings of Leon, Black Keys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Jason Isbell. The band also appeared on ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' twice, the '' Late Show with David Letterman'' four times, ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'', '' Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'', and '' Jimmy Kimmel Live!'' twice. ''In the Dark'' is the third album from The Whigs. The album was released on March 16, 2010. Recording took place in band's hometown of Athens, Georgia. The band worked extensively with producer Ben Allen, notable for his production work on Animal Collective's ''Merriweather Post Pavilion'', one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2009. Robert Alan Ezrin (born March 25, 1949) is a Canadian music producer and keyboardist, best known for his work with Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Andrea Bocelli and Phish. As of 2010, Ezrin's career in music had spanned four decades and his production work continued into the 21st century, with acts such as Deftones and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Sparklehorse
Sparklehorse was an American indie rock band from Richmond, Virginia, led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Linkous. Sparklehorse was active from 1995 until Linkous' 2010 death. Prior to forming Sparklehorse, Linkous fronted local bands Johnson Family and Salt Chunk Mary. Only one song, "Someday I Will Treat You Good," survived from these earlier bands to be played by Sparklehorse. Linkous stated that he ultimately chose Sparklehorse for a name because the two words sounded good together and it could loosely be used as a metaphor for a motorcycle. Patrick James Carney (born April 15, 1980) is an American musician and producer best known as the drummer of the Black Keys, a blues rock band from Akron, Ohio. Early life Carney's father, Jim, is a retired reporter for the '' Akron Beacon Journal'' and a music lover whom Carney credits with introducing him to various genres. Antony And The Johnsons
Antony and the Johnsons is an American music group presenting the work of Anohni and her collaborators. Career British experimental musician David Tibet of Current 93 heard a demo and offered to release Anohni's music through his Durtro label. Anohni started the band, its name inspired by trans activist Marsha P. Johnson. The debut album, ''Antony and the Johnsons'', was released in 1998. In 2001, while still known as Antony Hegarty, Anohni/Hegarty released a short follow-up EP, ''I Fell in Love with a Dead Boy'', which, in addition to the title track, included a cover of "Mysteries of Love", a David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti song and "Soft Black Stars", a Current 93 cover.
