] Park West () is a large business park within west Dublin, Ireland, notable for its public art and with some residential development. Over 300 companies, with over 10,000 employees, are based there. Location and content Located just inside the M50 orbital motorway in west Dublin, the development comprises several million square metres of office and retail space, along with a hotel, a private hospital, and three apartment complexes. Park West is in the administration of Dublin City Council, and Dublin postal districts Dublin 10 and Dublin 12, chiefly the latter. Art Park West is home to Europe's tallest wind and water mobile sculpture, ''Wave'' by Angela Conner. It is a 39.3 metre (129 feet) tall sculpture made of polystyrene covered with layers of carbon resin. M50 Motorway (Ireland)
The M50 motorway ( ga, Mótarbhealach M50) is a C-shaped orbital motorway in Dublin and the busiest motorway in Ireland. The current route was built in various sections over the course of 27 years, from 1983 to 2010. It begins at Dublin Port, running northward through the Dublin Port Tunnel and along a portion of the Airport Motorway. It then turns west at its junction with the M1, circling the northern, western and southern suburbs of Dublin, before merging with the M11 at Shankill in South East Dublin. The road forms part of European route E01. An orbital motorway for Dublin was first proposed in the Dublin Transportation Study of 1971. Angela Conner FRSS (born 1935) is an English sculptor who works in London. Conner has exhibited internationally and has large scale sculptures in public and private collections around the world. Biography In her early life as a sculptor, Conner assisted Barbara Hepworth. She works in a wide range of materials including marble, steel, stone and perspex, with many of her sculptures incorporating water as an integral feature. Conner's kinetic sculptures are concerned with utilizing "natural elements like water, sun, gravity or wind to create mobiles that entice viewers to stop and watch their gentle movement". Description The station opened on 28 July 2008, replacing the former Cherry Orchard and Parkwest Station located nearby.
