Park Of Maxim Gorky
Maxim Gorky Central Park for Culture and Recreation ( uk, Парк культури і відпочинку «Максим Горький», russian: Центральный парк культуры и отдыха имени Максима Горького) is a Kharkiv, Ukraine, city park consisting of over 130 hectares of land. It is bounded in the southern corner by Vesnina Street in the east - Sumska Street to the north - the so-called elite private settlement construction, and in the west - Dynamo street corner and Novgorod. History The origin of the park was from the City governing council who "put forth a proposition to plant trees on 20-40,000 square metres on both sides of the Sumskoy road" The idea was that the area would be used for horse riding in a similar manner to the Boulogne Forest. Sumska Street
Sumska Street ( uk, Сумська, ) is the main street of Kharkiv, Ukraine. It stretches through the centre of the city from the Constitution Square to Bilhorodske shose (Bilhorod highway). The street also serves as an administrative line between Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv city. Sumska street appeared as a road from the Kharkiv fortress to Sumy and used to call “Sumskyi shlyakh” (Sumy roadway). However, in a short time the road was surrounded by the buildings and turned to vibrant street. In the 20th century it became the thoroughfare of the city. The street is served by Kharkiv Metro, by the stations Universytet (University) and Istorychnyi Muzei (Museum of History). The Bois de Boulogne (, "Boulogne woodland") is a large public park located along the western edge of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, near the suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt and Neuilly-sur-Seine. The land was ceded to the city of Paris by the Emperor Louis Napoleon, Napoleon III to be turned into a public park in 1852. Alexei Maximovich Peshkov (russian: link=no, Алексе́й Макси́мович Пешко́в; – 18 June 1936), popularly known as Maxim Gorky (russian: Макси́м Го́рький, link=no), was a Russian writer and socialist political thinker and proponent. Children's Railway
A children's railway or pioneer railway is an extracurricular educational institution, where children interested in rail transport can learn railway professions. This phenomenon originated in the USSR and was greatly developed in Soviet times. The world's first children's railway was opened in Gorky Park, Moscow, in 1932. At the breakup of the USSR, 52 children's railways existed in the country. Many children's railways are still functioning in post-Soviet states and Eastern European countries. Many exhibit railway technology not seen anymore on the main lines and can be seen as heritage railways. Squirrels are members of the family Sciuridae, a family that includes small or medium-size rodents. Battle Of Kharkiv (2022)
The Battle of Kharkiv was a military engagement that took place from February to May 2022 in and around the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine, as part of the northeastern Ukraine offensive and eastern Ukraine offensive during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Kharkiv, located just south of the Russia–Ukraine border and a predominately Russian-speaking city, is the second-largest city in Ukraine and was considered a major target for the Russian military early in the invasion. By 13 May, Ukrainian forces pushed Russian units attempting to encircle the city back towards the Russian border. Additionally, it was reported that Russia had withdrawn units from the area.
