Park Lane Racing
Park Lane Racing was a British auto racing team, formed in 1991 by racing driver and principal of the Park Lane Leasing vehicle company, Roland Dane, in partnership with Formula One driver Derek Warwick. The team initially ran a pair of Honda Civic V-Tec cars in the British Group N Championship for Dane along with James Kaye. For 1992, they competed in the British Touring Car Championship with a single Toyota Carina for Kaye. A successful season saw Kaye win the TOCA Challenge Cup for independents and finish tenth in the overall championship. A year later the team ran as the official Toyota junior team and entered a second car for Bobby Verdon-Roe. Roland Dane
Roland William Surrey Dane (born 17 October 1956) is an Irish-Australian automotive businessman who is best known for co-founding motorsport teams Triple Eight Racing in Britain and Triple Eight Race Engineering in Australia, of which he was team principal until the end of 2021. Career United Kingdom Dane is the son of David Dane, a leading British pathologist and clinical virologist. Dane started his career at automotive manufacturer Panther Westwinds as an apprentice in 1975 and then working in various roles including as a sales executive before his departure from the company in 1984. Derek Warwick
Derek Stanley Arthur Warwick (born 27 August 1954) is a British former professional racing driver from England, who lives in Jersey. He raced for many years in Formula One, collecting four podiums but never winning a Grand Prix. He did, however, win the 1992 24 Hours of Le Mans and 1992 World Sportscar Championship season, 1992 World Sportscar Championship. In 2005 and 2006 he raced in the inaugural season of the Grand Prix Masters formula for retired Formula One drivers. He has served as the fourth steward for three Grands Prix in 2010 and 2011. James Kaye
James Kaye (born 18 February 1964 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire) is a British auto racing driver. He has been a stalwart competitor of Hondas in various championships since 1995, and has had 2 lengthy spells in the BTCC. He won the BTCC independents' championship in 1992 and 1994. Racing career After racing in the British National Production Saloon Championship with several championship in the late 80s and early 90s, he entered the BTCC as an independent in 1992, winning the independent title in his Toyota, and again in 1994. Robert Geoffrey Verdon-Roe (born 21 November 1965 in Winchester, Hampshire) is a British professional racing driver who has raced in various formats of motor sport throughout his career. He has won Formula Renault, TVR Tuscan and Historic Formula One Championships. He is the grandson of Sir Alliott Verdon Roe who was a pioneer of British aviation and founder of the Avro aircraft company. Triple Eight Racing was a motorsports team formed in 1996 as Triple Eight Race Engineering, which competed in the British Touring Car Championship and the British GT Championship. The team's original focus was to design, build and race Vauxhalls on behalf of the General Motors brand in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). A close working alliance developed during a decade of success and Triple Eight became Vauxhall's technical partner for motorsport.
