Park is an American rock band, formed in Springfield, Illinois. Line-up * Ladd Mitchell: Vocals, Guitar * Alex Haycraft: Guitar * Miles Logan: Drums * Brandon Carnes : Bass Biography Park is from Springfield, Illinois. They began in 1996 with Justin Valenti, Eric Lipe and Jon Heupel. After three shows as a trio Park played with one of Ladd Mitchell's former bands and Ladd joined Park a week later. Lipe and Heupel left in 2000 to pursue school and were replaced by Miles Logan and Timmy Costello. This current incarnation is the fourth major version of Park. Ladd Mitchell is the only member that has been in all four incarnations of Park. In October 2001, Lobster Records released the Park album, ''No Signal''. It was produced by Cameron Webb (Lit (band), Lit, Over It (band), Over It, Social Distortion, and later Silverstein (band), Silverstein). It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. The fourth word of the album's title is written in a similar style to that used in Mad Libs, as a blank with the word (noun) under it. This has led to some confusion on how to pronounce the title out loud. Frontman Ladd Mitchell has said they just refer to it as "Building..." or "Building a Better". The working title for the album had been "Building a Better Pirate", but the band changed it to a blank as they felt it was too whimsical. Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children.
