Parizh, Chelyabinsk Oblast
Parizh (russian: Пари́ж, for "Paris, France, Paris") is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, village (''village#Russia, selo'') in Nagaybaksky District of Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, located on the south border of the district. Population: 2,390 (1997 est.).
It was established as a Nağaybäk Cossacks, Cossack settlement in 1842 and soon after was given its name to honor the Battle of Paris (1814), Battle of Paris. Several other villages named for Russian victories in Napoleonic Wars are located nearby: Fershampenuaz (the administrative center of the district), Leyptsig, Berlin, Russia, Berlin, and others.

Types Of Inhabited Localities In Russia
The classification system of inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries. Classes During the Soviet time, each of the republics of the Soviet Union, including the Russian SFSR, had its own legislative documents dealing with classification of inhabited localities. The Battle of Paris was fought on 30–31 March 1814 between the Sixth Coalition, consisting of Russia, Austria, and Prussia, against the French Empire.
