Paris International Fantastic Film Festival
The Paris International Fantastic Film Festival (PIFFF), was created in 2011 by the Paris Ciné Fantastique association as a venue for horror, thriller and science fiction films. It takes place in Paris every year in December, and has been recently presented by television station :fr:Ciné+ and ''Mad Movies'' magazine. PIFFF has prizes in both feature length and short films. The most recent festival in December 2018 showed 26 films over 8 days and attracted over 10,000 attendees, making it one of the largest film festivals in the city of Paris. MovieMaker magazine called the festival an "international platform for promising new talent." The festival is held at the historic Max Linder Panorama theater in Paris. The 2018 festival was periodically interrupted by the Yellow Vest ''gilets jaunes'' riots that marched by while the festival was in progress. Horror is a film genre that seeks to elicit fear or disgust in its audience for entertainment purposes. Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival
The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (), or BiFan, is an international film festival held annually in July in Bucheon, South Korea. Prior to 2015, it was known as the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival or PiFan. Inaugurated in 1997, the festival focuses on South Korean and international horror, thriller, mystery and fantasy films, with particular attention to Asian cinema from East Asia and Southeast Asia. Screamfest Horror Film Festival
Screamfest Horror Film Festival is a horror film festival founded by film producers Rachel Belofsky and Ross Martin in August 2001. It runs over ten days during the month of October and is hosted at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles, California. In 2015, the festival celebrated its fifteenth anniversary and has been credited as being the largest and longest running horror film festival in the United States. The 2016 Screamfest was from October 18 through the 27. Screamfest premieres and showcases new work from American and international independent horror filmmakers. Fantasporto, also known as Fantas, is an international film festival, annually organized since 1981 in Porto, Portugal. Zach Lipovsky is a Canadian director, former child actor and visual effects specialist. Career Lipovsky was a finalist on the first season of the Fox reality show ''On the Lot'' where he placed 5th out of 12,000 directors worldwide. He went on to direct the films ''Tasmanian Devils'', '' Leprechaun: Origins'' and '' Dead Rising: Watchtower''. In 2019, he directed and produced the DisneyXD series ''Mech-X4'' for which he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy. Adam Stein
Adam Stein is an American film director and screenwriter working in Los Angeles, California. Stein graduated from Harvard University and the directing program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He co-directed the Disney live-action movie ''Kim Possible'', and also co-wrote and directed the award-winning independent film ''Freaks'', working with partner Zach Lipovsky. Issa Laura López Lozano is a Mexican producer, writer and film director. Eleven Spanish language features have been produced from her scripts, four of them directed by herself. She has won several literary awards, including the National Novel Award granted by Mexico's Institute of Fine Arts and Literature in 2007.
