Parc De Miribel-Jonage
The Grand parc de Miribel-Jonage is an urban park covering almost 2,200 hectares on the outskirts of Lyon. It covers most of the Island of Miribel-Jonage on the Rhône. This island was created in the 19th century with the digging of the Miribel and Jonage canals to help control the flooding of the Rhône. The park is a recreational area for the inhabitants of Greater Lyon, and also includes wildlife protection zones for fauna and flora. The park provides two other functions: to be the backup drinking water resource of Lyon, and it provides a buffer flood zone in case of the Rhône flooding. Parc De Gerland
, previously () and also called , is a large greenspace in Lyon situated on a former industrial site in the south of the city near the confluence of the Rhône and the Saone. Construction began in 1996, and the park was developed over an area of . The initial two phases of construction concluded in 2000 and 2006, and were carried out by landscape architect . The project was managed by Grand Lyon. The park was renamed to Parc Henry-Chabert on 19 December 2020. The park includes several playgrounds, a skatepark and a botanical garden. Parc de Parilly is an urban park in the communes of Bron and Vénissieux, Lyon Metropolis. Created in 1937, the park encompasses an area of . The park includes numerous sport facilities, including a running track, a hippodrome, and basketball courts. It is accessible by Lyon Metro Line D at ''Parilly'' station, by line T2 of the tramway at ''Parilly Université–Hippodrome'' station, and by bus 39. Parc De La Tête D'Or
The Parc de la Tête d'or (English: "Park of the Golden Head") is a large urban park in Lyon, France, with an area of approximately . Located in the northern part of the 6th arrondissement, it features the Jardin botanique de Lyon, as well as a lake on which boating takes place during the summer months. Due to the relatively small number of other parks in Lyon, it receives a huge number of visitors over summer; it is a frequent destination for joggers and cyclists.
