Parbo Bier Cup
The Parbo Bier Cup is a bi-annual International football(soccer) tournament, which is organized by the Stichting Internationaal Voetbal Suriname (SIVS) of which former Surinamese-Dutch International Stanley Menzo is the chairman. The beer brewery Parbo Bier, Parbo is the sponsor of the tournament after which it was named. History Parbo Bier Cup 2003 The 2003 Parbo Bier Cup marked the first edition of the tournament contested from the 15th to 19 January. The participants included Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda and Surinamese SVB Hoofdklasse, Hoofdklasse clubs S.V. Robinhood, S.V. Transvaal and SV Voorwaarts, Suriname, S.V. Voorwaarts. NAC Breda won the first Parbo Bier Cup, winning all their matches, defeating Transvaal (5–0) in their final match. Netherlands Antilles National Football Team
The Netherlands Antilles national football team (Dutch, "Nederlands-Antilliaans voetbalelftal"; Papiamentu, "Selekshon Antiano di futbòl") was the national team of the former Netherlands Antilles from 1958 to 2010. It was controlled by the Nederlands Antilliaanse Voetbal Unie. The NAVU consisted of Curaçao and Bonaire. Aruba split in 1986 and has its own team. The Netherlands Antilles team never qualified for the FIFA World Cup. The country managed to come third in the CONCACAF championships of 1963 and 1969; during the 1963 tournament they were unofficial football world champions for four days after beating Mexico and before losing to Costa Rica. Giovanni Drenthe
Giovanni Drenthe (born February 16, 1990) is a Surinamese footballer who currently plays as a striker. Drenthe also played for Suriname youth teams. The attacker is the younger brother of football player Royston Drenthe. Club career SV Voorwaarts In the SV Voorwaarts Drenthe mainly plays for the team promise. Jeremain Marciano Lens (born 24 November 1987) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for club Versailles. He is a versatile attacking player, known for his pace and stamina, primarily being used as a winger or a striker, but he can successfully play as a second striker. Lens began his career at AZ, and after a loan at NEC, played a part in their 2008–09 Eredivisie triumph. In 2010, he moved to PSV, where he won the 2011–12 KNVB Cup, and in 2013 was signed by Dynamo Kyiv. Quency Leon Williams (April 10, 1961 – April 2022) was an American gridiron football defensive end who played six seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played college football at Auburn and also had stints with the Birmingham Stallions, Los Angeles Raiders, Arizona Outlaws and BC Lions. He won the 78th Grey Cup with the Blue Bombers. André Kamperveen Stadion
André Kamperveen Stadium, formerly the National Stadion, is a multi-purpose stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname. Since its opening in 1953, the stadium has been the official home stadium of both football teams S.V. Transvaal and S.V. Robinhood and the official national stadium of the Suriname national football team. With an official capacity of 7,100, it is the largest stadium in Suriname. The stadium is also home to the Suriname Athletics Federation (SAB) as well as the Suriname Cycling Union (SWU). In 1997 Walking Boyz Company joined Transvaal and Robinhood as the third football team to make the stadium their home. In 2014 both Robinhood and Walking Boyz Company relocated to the Dr. Ir.
