Parban/Parvan originates in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh and flows through Sehore, Shajapur and Rajgarh districts in Madhya Pradesh. It also flows through Jhalawar, Kota, Baran districts of Rajasthan. Before it joins the Kali Sindh it cuts a 10 km long valley of significant depth right across Ratibar Dungar near Akawad Kalan in Jhalawar district. It meets Kali Sindh in Baran district of Rajasthan. Shergarh wildlife Sanctuary situated at the bank of Parban river in Baran district. Since 2017, the Parban Dam Project is being developed on Parban river. Parts of Baran district and Jhalawar district will be affected by the dam. picture info	Parban Dam Project Parban Dam Project (परवन परियोजना) is under construction dam project on the river Parban River, Parban in Jhalawar District of Rajasthan. Dam construction started in December 2017, after green signal by then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. The dam to be built 120 km from Kota town in Akawad village of Jhalawar district was likely to submerge 10,000 hectares (ha), including more than 1,600 ha of forestland. The union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) granted environmental clearance to the project in November, 2011. The clearance letter states the dam will completely submerge 17 villages and partially inundate 30 villages, affecting over 3,000 families including 461 tribal families. The dam capacity of this project is 490 million cubic metre. After completion, 317 million cubic metres of water will be available for irrigation.
