Parañaque Lady Aces
The Parañaque Lady Aces are a professional women's team which plays in the Philippine Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). It is the women's counterpart of the Parañaque Aces which plays in the National Basketball League (NBL). It is supported by the city government of Parañaque and is owned by city councilor Marvin Santos. History The Lady Aces first played in the WNBL during its 2019 season. Lacking in tall players, the team failed to progress to the playoffs in that season. When the WNBL turned professional for its 2021 season, the Lady Aces are among the participating teams and was able to acquire new players through the league's first ever draft. National Basketball League (Philippines)
The National Basketball League (NBL), also known as NBL–Philippines or NBL–Pilipinas, is a regional professional basketball league in the Philippines. History On June 7, 2018, Celso "Soy" Mercado established the league and named National Basketball League Philippines to search undiscovered talents. The league will feature an away-and-home format and will focus on giving homegrown players (aged 18–29 years old and a bonafide resident of the team's province, city or municipality) an opportunity to showcase their skills in the hope of making it to the professional and semi-professional leagues. The league began its inaugural season on August 25, 2018, with 10 teams from Luzon. Games were played every Saturdays and Sundays. The Parañaque Aces became the league's first champions after defeating the Dasmariñas Ballers in the best-of-three championship round. Allana Lim
Allana May Lim (born September 12, 1988) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Parañaque Lady Aces of the WNBL–Philippines. College career She became a key player for the FEU Lady Tamaraws of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) helping her team reach the final in Season 73 and clinch the title in Season 74. She was also named as the Season 74 MVP. Professional career After her graduation from FEU, she was signed in to play for KL Ruby of the Malaysian Women's Basketball League (MWBL). She debuted in KL Ruby's 66-55 win over Bina Puri, also the first win in that season coming in for injured Australian import Jessica Fergus. Lim scored 25 points and made 10 rebounds in that game.
