The Division of Corangamite is an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. The division was proclaimed in 1900, and was one of the original 65 divisions to be contested at the first federal election. It is named for Lake Corangamite, although the lake no longer falls within the division's boundaries. The division was redrawn in 2021, becoming a much smaller seat due to increased population growth. South Barwon is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. Located in a mixed urban and rural area south of the Barwon River, it covers an area of 621 km², including the Geelong suburbs of Belmont and Grovedale, Waurn Ponds and part of Highton, the coastal centre of Torquay and the rural towns of Barrabool, Bellbrae, Connewarre, Gnarwarre, Modewarre, Moriac and Mount Moriac. Modewarre, Victoria
Modewarre is a locality in the Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia. The town adjoins Lake Modewarre. In the 2016 census, Modewarre had a population of 276 people. Modewarre Primary School began as a local Anglican school in the 1850s, became a vested National School in 1859, and closed in 1971. A post office at Modewarre opened in 1859 and closed in 1967. The Modewarre Memorial Hall was erected in 1923 in memory of World War I. The Modewarre Avenue of Honour on Cape Otway Road was planted in 1918, and is the last surviving Avenue of Honour in the Surf Coast Shire. Tree number #33 was planted to honour Albert Jacka, Australia's first winner of the Victoria Cross and a Modewarre local. Freshwater Creek is a small rural community in the Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia. In the 2016 census, Freshwater Creek had a population of 414 people. The community comprises farming and rural properties, with a small township on the Anglesea Road and Dickins Road. The township has several shops and a cafe. Anglesea is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Great Ocean Road in the Surf Coast Shire local government area. In the , Anglesea had a population of 2,545 people.
