Paranoia (2021 Film)
''Paranoia'' is a 2021 Indonesian drama thriller film directed and co-written by Riri Riza, produced by long-time collaborator Mira Lesmana. The film stars Nirina Zubir, Nicholas Saputra, Caitlin North Lewis and Lukman Sardi. The film had its world premiere at the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in July 2021. Premise Dina runs away with her daughter, Laura, after her abusive husband Gion gets imprisoned. However, Gion is released from the prison due to the pandemic. This situation stresses her out and she is afraid Gion will find them. Meanwhile, Raka, a mysterious man appears in their life and makes things more complicated. The Indonesian Film Festival (Indonesian: Festival Film Indonesia, 'FFI') is an annual awards ceremony organised by the Indonesian Film Board and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to celebrate cinematic achievements in the Indonesian film industry. Mira Lesmanawati or better known as Mira Lesmana (born in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 8, 1964) is an Indonesian film director, producer and songwriter of mixed Dutch, Javanese and Madurese descent. She is the elder sister of Indonesian jazz musician, Indra Lesmana. Early life Lesmana was born in Jakarta to musician Jack Lesmana and his wife Nien. Her younger brother is jazz pianist Indra Lesmana. At the age of five, she entered kindergarten at Cikini School; her primary and middle school education were conducted at the same institution.
