''Paranoia, Angels, True Love'' (also written as ''Paranoïa, Angels, True Love'') is the fourth studio album by French singer Christine and the Queens, released through Because Music on 9 June 2023. It comprises the second, third and fourth parts of a series following '' Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue)'' (2022), on which Héloïse Letissier adopted the moniker "Redcar". The album was preceded by the single "To Be Honest", and includes collaborations with Madonna, 070 Shake and Mike Dean. Background Héloïse Letissier called the album "the second part of an operatic gesture" including '' Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue)'' (2022), and noted that it was inspired by "the glorious dramaturgy" of Tony Kushner's play '' Angels in America'' (1991). Héloïse Adélaïde Letissier (; born 1 June 1988), known professionally as Christine and the Queens and Redcar, or occasionally simply Chris, is a French singer and songwriter. ''Chris'' is the second studio album by French singer Christine and the Queens, released on 21 September 2018 in both English and French versions through Because Music. It was preceded by the release of two singles, each of which were released in both English and French versions: "Girlfriend" / "Damn, dis-moi", featuring Dâm-Funk, and "Doesn't Matter" / "Doesn't Matter (Voleur de soleil)". An English-language single, " 5 Dollars", was also released alongside an S&M-inspired video, followed by the French version of "La Marcheuse". The album was re-released in 2015 with new songs and " Tilted" – the English version of "Christine" – served as a single. Background The album was first released in France as ''Chaleur humaine'' in June 2014. The album was released in United States on 16 October 2015 via Because Music as ''Christine and the Queens''. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence.
