Ramdas Paranjpe
Ramdas Paranjpe (1912-1989) was a lawyer practicing in Pune, India. He was a prominent lawyer, dealing on both civil and criminal cases in Pune's District Court and in the Bombay High Court. He was the first lawyer to defend members of the tribal Phase pardhi community, that was declared a criminal tribe during the English colonial rule. He was elected the president of the Pune Bar Association in 1963. He was also the Deputy Mayor of Pune in 1963. Family background Ramdas Paranjpe was born in 1912 in Hanumangadh, Wardha, in central India. His father, Sadashiv Vishnu Paranjpe was a lawyer practising in Wardha. Vasoo Paranjape
Vasudeo Jagannath Paranjape (21 November 1938 – 30 August 2021) was an Indian cricketer and cricket coach. His son Jatin Paranjpe was also a cricketer who later became national selector. Career Paranjape played 29 first-class matches between 1956 and 1970 for Mumbai and Baroda. He was part of the Mumbai side which won the Ranji Trophy on 12 occasions. He ended up his first-class career with 785 runs with a best score of 127 against Baroda which came during the 1964 Ranji Trophy. After his retirement from cricket, he became a mentor and administrator. Sunetra Arun Paranjpe (born 9 May 1980) is an Indian former cricketer and current cricket coach. She played as a right-handed batter, right-arm medium bowler and occasional wicket-keeper. Shivram Mahadev Paranjape
Shivram Mahadev Paranjape (Devanagari: शिवराम महादेव परांजपे; 27 June 1864 – 27 September 1929) was an eminent Marathi writer, scholar, orator, journalist and freedom fighter from Maharashtra. He created unrest among the people of Maharashtrian against British rule through his popular weekly ''Kaal'' (meaning "Times" in Marathi) from 1898 to 1908. Early life Paranjape was born on 27 June 1864 in Mahad in Raigad district to a local practising advocate. After his primary education at Mahad, at 14 he attended secondary school in Raigad. Shakuntalā Parānjpye (17 January 1906 – 3 May 2000) was an Indian writer, actress and a prominent social worker. She was a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council during 1958–64, and served as nominated member of, Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Indian Parliament) during 1964–70. In 1991, she was awarded, Padma Bhushan,the third-highest civilian award in the Republic of India, in recognition of her pioneering work in the field of family planning. Prakash Vishvanath Paranjape (28 July 1947 – 20 February 2008) was a member of the Lok Sabha representing the constituency of Thane. He was a member of the Shiv Sena party and served as a member of the Lok Sabha from 1996 until his death. Paranjape was born in Panvel, Maharashtra on 28 July 1947. A Kulavruttanta or a Kul-vrttant ( mr, कुलवृत्तांत; IAST: Kula-vr̥ttānta; ), is a genealogical almanac and biographical dictionary, a format of genealogical record keeping predominantly found in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
