Paralia, Achaea
Paralia ( gr, Παραλία, ''Paralía'', meaning "beach") is a town and a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Patras, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 11.978 km2. It is a suburb of Patras, about 6 km southwest of the city centre. The town population is about 6,500. It was a popular beach resort for residents of Patras till mid '80s. The new Greek National Road 9 (Patras - Pyrgos) runs south of the town. The railway Patras - Pyrgos runs parallel to the coast, at about 200 m from the shore. Paralia, Pieria
Paralia ( el, Παραλία, ''Paralía'', meaning "beach") is a tourist seaside settlement and a former municipality in the eastern part of the Pieria regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Katerini, of which it is a municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Kallithea. The 2011 census reported a population of 1,124 for the village of Paralia, and 6,803 for the municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 24.344 km2, the community 1.849 km2. Paralia Katerinis actually translated "Beach of Katerini" and is the closest beach to the capital city of Katerini. Geography Paralia is situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf. It lies 2 km east of Kallithea, 5 km south of Korinos and 8 km east of Katerini's city centre. Aspra Spitia ( el, Άσπρα Σπίτια) is a town in the municipal unit Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, in Boeotia, Greece. In 2011, its population was 1,578. History Aspra Spitia was founded in 1960, planned by Doxiadis Associates to house industrial workers for Aluminum of Greece's nearby aluminum plant. Its alternate name is "Paralia Distomou". Paralia Lygias
Lygia ( el, Λυγιά) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. Its population in 2011 was 286 for the village and 787 for the community, which includes the villages Arkoudi, Glyfa, Ioniki and Paralia. Lygia is situated in the low hills of the southern part of the Kyllini peninsula, 3 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 4 km southeast of Kastro, 4 km east of Loutra Kyllinis and 4 km west of Vartholomio. Arkoudi is the westernmost village of the community, 4 km southwest of Lygia, on the coast near Loutra Kyllinis. Its population was 77 in 2001. Paralia Avdira
Abdera () is a municipality in the Xanthi regional unit of Thrace, Greece. In classical antiquity, it was a major Greek ''polis'' on the Thracian coast. The ancient polis is to be distinguished from the municipality, which was named in its honor. The polis lay 17 km east-northeast of the mouth of the Nestos River, almost directly opposite the island of Thasos. It was a colony placed in previously unsettled Thracian territory, not then a part of Hellas, during the age of Greek colonization. The city that developed from it became of major importance in ancient Greece. After the 4th centuryAD it declined, contracted to its acropolis, and was abandoned, never to be reoccupied except by archaeologists. Paralia Panteleimonos
Paralia Panteleimonos () is a settlement of the former municipal district of Panteleimonas, the former municipality of East Olympos, which belongs to the municipality of Dio-Olympos, and is one of the 16 total coast of the regional unit. It is about 36 km from Katerini, 56 km from Larissa and is southeast of the county. According to recent archaeological excavations in the area during the construction of the railway tunnel under the castle, were findings of ancient Greek town Ηράκλεια (Heracleia). There is a summer residence of the inhabitants of Neos Panteleimonas and tourist resort, which is flooded with tourists during the period May and June. Paralia Sergoula
Sergoula ( el, Σεργούλα) is a settlement and a community of the municipality of Dorida, Phocis in Greece. The community Sergoula consists of three villages: Sergoula, Paralia Sergoulas ("Sergoula Beach") and Palaiochori. Sergoula was established around 17th century, and its original name was Miloi (Greek: Μύλοι=Mills). Sergoula was an independent community between 1912 and 1997, when it became part of the municipality Efpalio. The village Paralia Sergoulas is situated on the Gulf of Corinth coast, below the mountain village Sergoula. The Greek National Road 48 ( Delphi - Nafpaktos) passes through Paralia Sergoulas. ''Paralia Platanou'' (English "Platanos Beach", Greek "Παραλία Πλατάνου"), is a village situated on the seashore below Platanos village. It has to a degree assumed the name Platanos, though that term actually refers to the larger town above the shore (which is referred to as Pano or Ano (Upper) Platanos. The entrance to the village is found a short distance beyond Kryoneri Bay, on the 155th km (97th mile) of the Old National Corinth-Patras Road at a designated exit.
