Paradise Lake (Ontario)
Paradise Lake is a lake in Ontario. This small lake is in the Township of Wellesley, Ontario in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. It is due south of the large village of St. Clements and near the village of Bamberg. Cottages and summer camp The lake is surrounded by cottages on private land; there is no public access to the water nor a public beach. Early settlers in the Bamberg area were from Germany and the village was initially named Weimar; it was changed to Bamberg in 1852. The nearest city is Waterloo, Ontario. A residential summer camp for children has been located on this lake since 1924, currently the Camp Ki-Wa-Y, so-named in 1942. The 77 acres of land and the buildings were owned by the Kiwanis Club of Kitchener-Waterloo but the camp was donated to the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA in the 2009. Paradise Lake (Quebec)
Paradise Lake (''Lac Paradis'') is an emerald-green lake near Matagami in Quebec, Canada. The lake is located on the east side of Quebec Route 109 as it runs from Amos to Matagami, 134 km north of Amos. It is labelled on some maps as "Lac Mandjoci" (the word ''Mandjoci'' means a monster in Algonquin). The unusual green colour of the water is caused by copper ores in suspension, and has led to the lake being described as an "exceptional natural site". The Motel Paradis used to stand between the road and the lake, together with an information panel entitled "What gives the emerald water its colour". By the beginning of 2010 visitors reported the hotel to be abandoned and described it as "creepy". It was destroyed by fire in late October 2010. Sardinia is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The town lies in the southeast corner of Erie County and is considered one of the county's "Southtowns". The town is southeast of Buffalo. Paradise Lake was an amusement park located in eastern Ohio in the United States. The park was located at the interchange of Interstate 70 with State Route 513. It was located in rural Guernsey County, Ohio, between Quaker City and Fairview. Paradise Lake was intended to be a major amusement park when it opened on 1 July 1981. Paradise Lake is a small freshwater lake in the north of King County, Washington, USA, located two miles east of Woodinville, Washington, Woodinville. The lake has no public access boat launch. It feeds into Bear Creek (Washington), Bear Creek, which flows towards the Sammamish River at Redmond, Washington, Redmond.
