''Paradise'' is a 1975 Australian TV movie produced by Robert Bruning and directed by Bill Hughes. Plot Faulkner, a private detective on the Gold Coast, investigates a murder. Robert Bruning
Robert Bruning (27 May 1928 – 4 March 2008) was an Australian actor and film producer, who was the founder of film production firm Gemini Productions Biography Bruning was born as Robert Bell in Dongara, Western Australia in 1928. He worked as an amateur actor at the New Theatre in the Sydney suburb of Newtown in the 1940s and 1950s. Bruning also was a regular guest performer in ''Homicide'', ''Division 4'', ''The Sullivans'' and ''A Country Practice''. He also had substantial roles on Australian films such as 1970's ''Ned Kelly'' and his production credits, on sitcoms, variety, and drama add up to more than 200 hours of television. Of his production career, he is notable for his creation of Australia's first telemovie, '' Is There Anybody There?'', of which 21 more were made. Michael Beecher (20 November 1939 – 4 March 1993) was an Australian-based model and actor. He was the son of Rear Admiral Otto Humphrey Becher and Valerie Chisholme Baird. Beecher had originally wanted to train and work as a diplomat. Tina Grenville is a New Zealand actor, model, presenter and writer. She attended Wellington Girls' College and moved into modelling becoming the 1964 Model of the Year. ''Banacek'' is an American detective TV series starring George Peppard that aired on the NBC network from 1972 to 1974. The series was part of the rotating '' NBC Wednesday Mystery Movie'' anthology. It alternated in its time slot with several other shows, but was the only one of them to last beyond its first season. Premise Peppard played Thomas Banacek, a Polish-American freelance, Boston-based private investigator who solves seemingly impossible thefts. He collects from the insurance companies 10% of the insured value of the recovered property. ''Is There Anybody There?'' is a 1976 Australian TV movie directed by Peter Maxwell and produced by Robert Bruning. Synopsis A fragile woman, Kate, is released from a sanatorium run by a man called Redwood into the arms of her husband John. While she was away John has begun an affair with Kate's sister Marianne. The two sisters live together in an apartment block while John is away, and find themselves stalked by some mysterious strangers, Rosa and Duncan.
