''Parachondrostoma turiense'' is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is found only in Spain. Its natural habitat is rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. Description Elongated body with relatively small head and mouth situated on the bottom. Usually not exceed 300 mm total length. The bottom lip is thick and has a curved-shaped lamina cornea, unlike the Iberian Nase whose lamina cornea is straight. Caudal peduncle long and narrow. The fins are long, the dorsal one has 8 branched rays and anal one 8 to 10. The scales are large and 44 to 45. The number of pharyngeal teeth more frequent is 6-5 and rarely 6-6.
