Papi (film)
''Papi'' is Belgian-French-Ugandan film that was written and directed by Belgian writer and director Kjell Clarysse. The film was shot on a shoestring budget of $15,000 (about Shs 54.5m) on location in Kampala, Belgium and France in 2015 but still got a successful premier in Belgium in 2017. It premiered in Uganda in February 2018. Plot In Kampala, a Congolese boda boda rider's life is changed for the worst when he meets a vengeful Ugandan girl seeking justice for her murdered mother and a European expatriate. Deedan Muyira
Diana Deedan Muyira (commonly referred to as just Deedan or Miss Deedan), is a Ugandan actress and media personality, known for playing the role of Tracy Kintu in Nana Kagga’s Beneath The Lies. Deedan was born in Kenya and moved to Uganda to work. Career Deedan has been the host of Kampala’s biggest music festival, Blankets and Wine since its inception. She has hosted many other events including Tokosa Food Fest. Deedan is a radio presenter on Radiocity Kampala and hosts, with her counterpart McKenzie, The Jam, an evening drive show which features music and information for Kampala. She joined the Urban Today show in 2016 after the departure of Gaetano Kagwa. Rehema Nanfuka
Rehema Nanfuka (born 25 May 1986) is a Ugandan film, theatre and television actress, director, and filmmaker known for her roles in Imani, Veronica's Wish, Imbabazi, The Girl in the Yellow Jumper, Queen of Katwe, Imperial Blue among other films. She won the Best Director award at the 2018 Uganda Film Festival Awards, becoming the first female director to ever win an award in this category at any of the awarding bodies in Uganda. Career Film and Television Rehema started her acting career in Mira Nair's Maisha Film Lab's 2008 production, ''Downcast'' where she played a housewife.
