Paper Cut
A paper cut occurs when a piece of paper or other thin, sharp material slices a person's skin, often the upper part of the finger, and often the index finger. Notably, "paper" cuts can also be caused by other thin, stiff, and abrasive materials other than just paper. Paper cuts can be highly painful, even though they may bleed very little, if at all. Although a loose sheet of paper is usually too soft to cut, it can be very thin (sometimes as thin as a razor edge), thus being able to exert high levels of pressure, enough to cause a cut. Paper cuts are most often caused by paper sheets that are strongly fastened together (such as brand new sheet of paper out of a ream), because one single sheet might be dislocated from the rest. Thus all the other sheets are holding this dislocated sheet in position, making it stiff enough to act as a razor. ''Love Like This'' is the first album by American rock band the Summer Set. Release Released on October 13, 2009, the album was promoted on the band's tour with Cartel, This Providence, and the Bigger Lights. In January 2010, the group supported Every Avenue and Sparks the Rescue on their co-headlining US tour. In March 2010, the band appeared at the Extreme Thing festival. Between late June and early August, the band performed on Warped Tour. It was re-released on July 6, with a bonus ''Love Like Swift'' CD with five Taylor Swift song covers available only at Wal-Mart. In usability and interaction design, a paper cut bug is defined as "a trivially fixable usability bug". The developers of the Ubuntu Linux-based operating system describe it as a bug that average users would encounter on their first day of using a brand new installation of the latest version of Ubuntu Desktop Edition. The analogy is with a paper cut wound—small, not seriously damaging, but surprisingly painful. The use of the term has since spread to other software projects. While some projects have dedicated projects or teams for it, others rely on regular practices to encourage paper cuts to be fixed. Papercutz Graphic Novels is an American publisher of family-friendly comic books and graphic novels, mostly based on licensed properties such as Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and Lego Ninjago. Michael Cho (illustrator)
Michael Cho is a Canadian illustrator and cartoonist. He has been nominated for a number of awards and his work has been positively reviewed. Early life Cho was born in South Korea but immigrated to Canada at the age of 6. He has said "In some ways I learned to read English by reading comic books. And of course, I copied all the drawings." Career Cho's artwork appears in a number of different genres. He has painted book covers for Random House/Knopf and Penguin Books. ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' is an American comedy television series created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi for Nickelodeon. It centers around two brothers, both named Pete Wrigley, and their humorous and surreal adventures in suburbia among their equally eccentric friends, enemies, and neighbors. ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete'' began on Nickelodeon in 1989 as minute-long shorts that aired as interstitials. Owing to the popularity of the shorts, five half-hour specials were made, followed by a regular half-hour series that ran for three seasons from 1993 to 1996. As of October 5, 2015, reruns of the shorts and the shows run on TeenNick as part of the NickSplat block.
