Albert Arthur Pape (13 June 1897 – 18 November 1955) was an English footballer. His regular position was as a forward. Born in Elsecar, West Riding of Yorkshire, he played for several clubs in The Football League, including Notts County, Clapton Orient and Manchester United. Football career Born in Elsecar, then in the West Riding of Yorkshire, Pape began his football career with Wath Athletic, a club from the nearby town of Wath-upon-Dearne. Upon the outbreak of the First World War, Pape joined the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and played for the regimental football team, returning to play for Bolton-on-Dearne at the cessation of hostilities. In December 1919, Pape was signed by Rotherham County, who had been elected to the Football League Second Division at the start of the season, and he made a goalscoring debut on 17 January 1920 in a 4–3 win over Coventry City. Robert Anthony Pape Jr. (born April 24, 1960) is an American political scientist who studies national and international security affairs, with a focus on air power, American and international political violence, social media propaganda, and terrorism. He is currently a professor of political science at the University of Chicago and founder and director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST). Career Pape graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1982 from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a Harry S. Truman Scholar majoring in political science. Philip Pape
Philip Pape (1910-1982) was a British sculptor and stonemason. Biography Pape was born in Beverley in 1910 and moved with his family to Barton-upon-Humber in 1913. He, like his father, was a stonemason. As a conscientious objector, he started creating sculptural works in stone during the second world war. In 1951 Pape was commissioned by Lindsey County Council to create commemorative plaques for the new schools that were being opened following the Second World War, and in 1955 he was commissioned to produce sculptures to be displayed in them. A blue plaque on the exterior of Tyrwhitt Hall records that Philip Pape, a "sculptor, singer, and choirmaster", lived and worked in the house from 1960 to 1982. Pascal Papé (; born 5 October 1980) is a former French rugby union footballer. Papé played as a lock, and currently most recently represented Stade Français in club rugby, after spending many years at Bourgoin. He also spent one season at Castres Olympique. He earned his first test cap for France against Ireland in the 2004 Six Nations Championship, scoring a try in the 35–17 victory. Oran Henry Pape (March 10, 1904 – April 30, 1936) was a member of the Iowa State Patrol in the United States. He is the first member of the Patrol to have been murdered in the line of duty. Prior to joining the Patrol, Pape played professional American football.
