Pantip.com is a popular Thai-language website and discussion forum. As of July 2016, Pantip.com one of the top 10 websites in Thailand and 712 worldwide. Discussions about Thai politics and current events on Pantip.com's topic boards are often cited in the Thai press, particularly in such English-language newspapers as the ''Bangkok Post'' and ''The Nation'', as a gauge of the public's mood about various issues. At the beginning, the site gained its popularity from people's misunderstanding of its name which is similar (and identical in English) to Bangkok's format IT shopping center, Pantip Plaza, but it is in no way affiliated with the mall. KMITL
King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL or KMIT Ladkrabang for short) is a research and educational institution in Thailand. It is situated in Lat Krabang District, Bangkok approximately 30 km east of the city center. The university consists of nine faculties: engineering, architecture, science, industrial education and technology, agricultural technology, information technology, food industry, liberal arts, and medicine. Chiranan Pitpreecha
Čhiranan Pitpreecha (born 1955) is a Thai poet and feminist. For a time, she had the married name Čhiranan Prasertkul. Her surname also appears as Phitprīchā. She is a recipient of the S.E.A. Write Award. Biography The daughter of a bookstore owner, she was born in Trang Province. Pitpreecha was a prominent student activist in the 1973 Thai popular uprising; following the Thammasat University massacre in October 1976, she fled to the jungle and joined the Communist Party of Thailand. Pitpreecha returned to Bangkok in 1981. With her husband Seksan Prasertkul, she went to the United States, where she earned a BA and MA in history from Cornell University.
