Panjiayuan Subdistrict
Panjiayuan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. The Panjiayuan area is located towards the South end of the East 3rd Ring road. It borders Jinsong Subdistrict to the north, Nanmofang Township to the east, Nanmofang and Shibalidian Townships to the south, and Longtan Lake Park of Dongcheng District to the east. Panjiayuan is famous for its flea markets, and as of 2020, it has a population of 100,272. The subdistrict got its name from Panjiayao () Village within the area, which later changed its name to Panjiayuan. History Panjiayuan Subdistrict was established in 1984, with 45 residents' committees under its control. In 2000, it was reduced to 12 residents's committees. A subdistrict ()' is one of the smaller administrative divisions of China, administrative divisions of China. Dongcheng District, Beijing
The Dongcheng District (; literally "east city district") of Beijing covers the eastern half of Beijing's urban core, including all of the eastern half of the Old City inside of the 2nd Ring Road with the northernmost extent crossing into the area within the 3rd Ring Road. Its area is further subdivided into 17 subdistricts. Settlement in the area dates back over a millennium. It did not formally become a district of the city until the establishment of the Republic of China in 1911. Longtan Lake Park
Longtan Lake Park (), is a recreational urban park located in Dongcheng District (formerly in Chongwen District) of Beijing, just east of the Temple of Heaven. It is one of the largest modern parks inside the 2nd Ring Road of Beijing. There is also a large outdoor bird market in the park.
