Pancrazio De Pasquale
Pancrazio De Pasquale (1925–1992) was an Italian politician. From 1979–1989, he served as a Member of the European Parliament. He was a member of the Communist Party of Italy. From 1979–1989 he served as Chair of the Committee on Regional Policy and Regional Planning. He served in the Chamber of Deputies of Italy in Legislature III, Legislature IV and Legislature XI. He served as President of the Sicilian Regional Assembly The Sicilian Regional Assembly is the legislative body of Sicily. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. When the European Parliament (then known as the Common Assembly of the ECSC) first met in 1952, its members were directly appointed by the governments of member states from among those already sitting in their own national parliaments. The Legislature XI of Italy ( it, XI Legislatura della Repubblica Italiana) was the 11th legislature of the Italy, Italian Republic, and lasted from 23 April 1992 until 14 April 1994. Its composition was the one resulting from the 1992 Italian general election, general election of 5 and 6 April 1992. The election was called by President of Italy, President Francesco Cossiga, Cossiga on 3 February 1992. This legislature was one of the shortest in the history of the Italian Republic and is considered the last one of the so-called "First Republic" ( it, Prima Repubblica).
