Panchakanya Tej or Panchakanya Tez or TEJ ( ne, पन्चकन्या तेज) was a franchise team in the Nepal Premier League and the 2016 Everest Premier League. The team was captained by Nepalese player Sharad Vesawkar. The head coach of the team was former Nepali cricket player Kalam Ali. The team was managed by the Team Manager Mr. Gopal Wagley. The franchise won the One Day tournament of the 2014 Nepal Premier League after defeating Jagdamba Giants in the final. It also won the inaugural edition of the Everest Premier League in 2016, defeating Colors X-Factors in the final. Everest Premier League
Everest Premier League (EPL) ( ne, एभरेष्ट प्रिमियर लिग) is a franchise Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by EPL Pvt. Ltd., a private group in Nepal run by Aamir Akhtar alongside his team including Kieran Holds and Jack Edmondson. It is the biggest cricket tournament in the country, played during the northern winter calendar, mostly in the month of December. It is played in round-robin format in which top four teams qualify for the playoffs. The tournament is renowned for having high attendance among the domestic cricket of the ICC associate nations. The first edition of the tournament was held in September 2016 with six franchises consisting of domestic and international players. One Day Cricket
Limited overs cricket, also known as one-day cricket or white ball cricket, is a version of the sport of cricket in which a match is generally completed in one day. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Aasif Sheikh ( ne, आसिफ शेख) (born 22 January 2001) is a Nepalese cricketer, who plays as right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. He made his debut for Nepal against Netherlands in April 2021. He represents the Armed Police Force Club of the Kathmandu Mayor's Cup and Pokhara Paltan of the Pokhara Premier League. Playing career Aasif plays for Panchakanya Tej in the Everest Premier League. Prithu Baskota ( ne, पृथु बाँसकोटा) (born 5 July 1992) is a Nepalese cricketer. All-rounder Prithu is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Maldives in November 2010. He represents the APF Club of the National League and GoldenGate International College, which plays in the SPA Cup. Playing career Baskota was selected as part of Nepal's fourteen man squad for the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates, making his Twenty20 debut during the tournament against Hong Kong. 2015 Nepal Premier League
The 2016 Everest Premier League was the debut season of the Everest Premier League. It was supposed to be the second edition of the Nepal Premier League, abbreviated as NPL, and was scheduled to be held from 26 March to 4 April 2015 in Kirtipur. but Cricket Association of Nepal insisted that it will not support the tournament unless its name is changed. Later, the board decided to uphold the tournament as the name was changed to Everest Premier League and provided the ground for competition. The tournament began on 24 September and ended on 3 October 2016. The title was won by Panchakanya Tej, who defeated Colors X-Factors by 40 runs in the final. Aarif Sheikh ( ne, आरिफ शेख्) (born 5 October 1997) is a Nepalese cricketer, who was the vice-captain of the Nepal national under-19 cricket team, and currently plays for the senior team.
