The Panchagarh Express (Train no. 793-794) is a Semi non-stop intercity train which runs between Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh) and the most northern Panchagarh District. The train connects the capital to northern Bengal. History Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated this service by videoconference from Dhaka on 25 May 2019. This named train service will run seven days a week. Schedule ''Panchagarh Express'' begins its journey from Kamalapur railway station at 22:45. It stops at the Airport railway station, Dhaka at 23:17, and another at Santaher railway station at 04:15. It usually reaches Parbatipur at 06:00. and Dinajpur at 06:37. Benapole Express
Benapole Express (Train no. 795-796) is a semi non-stop intercity train which runs between Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh) and Benapole. The train connects the capital to an important Land port of Bangladesh. History There was no train service directly from Benapole to Dhaka. So Bangladesh government had decided to operate a new intercity train on Dhaka-Benapole route as the existing train makes 14 stops, taking the total travel time to 10 to 12 hours. In order to reach Dhaka, the passengers of India are facing extreme suffering. The only road to travel depends on the bus. This breakthrough move saves at least 3 to 4 hours as Benapole Express is reaching its destination within 7–8 hours daily. Santahar Junction Railway Station
Santahar ( bn, সান্তাহার) is a railway junction in Adamdighi Upazila in Bogra District of Rajshahi Division in Bangladesh. History From 1878, the railway route from Kolkata, then called Calcutta, to Siliguri was in two laps. The first lap was a 185 km journey along the Eastern Bengal State Railway from Calcutta Station (later renamed Sealdah) to Damookdeah Ghat on the southern bank of the Padma River, then across the river in a ferry and the second lap of the journey. A metre gauge line of the North Bengal Railway linked Saraghat on the northern bank of the Padma to Siliguri. It was during this period that Santahar came up as a railway station. Coaches And Wagons Of Bangladesh
Coaches and wagons of Bangladesh are rail vehicles operated and maintained by Bangladesh Railway. At the end of the year 2004–2005, Bangladesh Railway had a total of 1,406 coaches. Among them, 1,344 were for conveyance of passengers and 62 were for luggage, mails, parcels and departmental uses. Panchagarh (; bn, পঞ্চগড়, 'five forts') is a district of the Rangpur division in Northern Bangladesh. Panchagarh is the northernmost district of Bangladesh. It lies between 26º00' and 26º38' north latitudes and between 88º19' and 88º49' east longitudes. It was established as a district on 1 February 1984. Parbatipur ( bn, পার্বতীপুর) is a railway junction in Dinajpur district of Rangpur Division in Bangladesh. History During the British period all railway connections to Assam and North Bengal were through the eastern part of Bengal. From 1878, the railway route from Kolkata, then called Calcutta, to Siliguri was in two laps.
