Panamá Viejo F.C. was a Panamanian association football, football team founded in 1978 and based in Panamá Viejo, Panama. The club was a regular participant in the ANAPROF (now Liga Panameña de Fútbol), and in their final season the ''Cangrejeros'' won the ANAPROF 2000-01, 2000–01 championship. They succumbed to financial problems at the end of 2001. History Panamá Viejo was founded in 1978, and become a frequent participant in the ANAPROF. During the ANAPROF 2000-01, 2000–01 season, they enjoyed their most memorable success, reaching the championship final for the very first time. There, they met Tauro F.C., the defending champions and aiming at their fourth championship in five years. Panama Viejo, however, entered with one of their strongest teams ever. Blas Pérez
Blas Antonio Pérez Ortega (born 13 March 1981) is a Panamanian footballer who plays as a forward for the Dallas Sidekicks in the Major Arena Soccer League. Club career Pérez began his career in his native Panama with Panamá Viejo. He made his debut with the club in 1998 and went on to score 27 goals in 56 matches. In 2001, he joined Árabe Unido and continued his goal scoring form. In 2002, he joined top Uruguayan side Nacional. The following season, he left for Colombia signing with Envigado, scoring a goal on his debut against Independiente Medellin in the process. After one season at the club he joined Centauros and went on to score 29 goals in 37 matches, catching the attention of one of Colombia's top clubs Deportivo Cali. For the 2005 season he signed with Cali and remained at the club for two years in which he continued with his goal scoring form. In 2006 Perez joined Cúcuta. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. Luis Alberto Blanco Saavedra (born 8 January 1978) is a retired Panamanian football midfielder. Club career Nicknamed ''Satú'', he started his career at hometown club San Francisco, then moved to Europe to play in the UEFA Champions League with Moldovan champions Sheriff Tiraspol where he played alongside compatriots Ubaldo Guardia and Roberto Brown.
